Our Available Services for Cosmetic Dental Care

When visiting us for aesthetic dentistry, your customized treatment plan can include any of the following:

Helping You Achieve the Smile of Your Dreams

Obtaining your new, gorgeous smile begins with an extremely thorough evaluation by our dentist. During your consultation, he’ll take into consideration all aspects that can contribute towards the health, functionality, and beauty of your teeth and gums. This also includes analyzing your dental and medical history, genetics, your budget and goals, and your age. Dr. Joe even factors in your hair color, skin tone, natural facial features, and the way your lips move when you smile and speak.

Once this extensive valuation is complete, he’ll then take as much time as he needs to explain all your options so that you can make informed decisions and know exactly what to expect.

Professional Teeth Whitening

We provide professional teeth whitening that uses specialty-formulated gels designed to whiten stubborn surface stains safely and effectively. Depending on your level of discoloration, we may be able to brighten your smile by as much as eight shades.

Can’t I Use Over-The-Counter Whitening Products?

Teeth whitening set including toothpaste, toothbrush and LED light

From toothpastes to whitening strips and pens, your available teeth whitening options are practically endless. While these products advertise complete convenience, and this is often true, they’re not entirely effective.

Over the counter options do consist of the same active ingredients as professional whitening; however, the concentration is much lower, often requiring more use, more frequently. When not monitored or distributed by a licensed professional, there is no regulating how often you whiten. This can increase your risk for tooth sensitivity and enamel weakening and even damage.

While these products can be useful for touchups every now and again, professional whitening with professional solutions are efficient, effective, and safer.

How Does Professional Teeth Whitening work?

Dingy, yellowish enamel staining is one of the most common aesthetic issue faced by our adult patients, and often the most noticeable. Luckily, our professional teeth whitening treatments can provide you with the safe, effective, and quick fix you’ve been looking for to gain back the brilliance of your smile.

Stains caused by dark foods and beverages such as tomatoes sauces, coffee, red wine, and dark berries built up over the years can be practically eliminated in as little as an hour with in-office whitening or more gradually with convenient take-home whitening kits.

How Can I Keep My Smile Whiter, Longer?

After taking the time and spending the money necessary to achieve the white smile you’ve always wanted, the last thing you want is for your results to fade quickly.

To help keep your newly whitened smile brighter for longer, we recommend these five tips:

  1. Avoid or limit dark foods and liquids such as coffee, red wine, tea, and curry
  2. Avoid smoking; we recommend quitting entirely for your dental appeal and oral health
  3. Brush twice daily and floss once a day to prevent plaque and tartar buildup as this make teeth appear darker
  4. Consider touch-up whitening treatments
  5. Schedule your dental visits every six months

What if I have Dental Staining that Won’t Go Away?

Some dental staining is not on the surfaces of your teeth at all, but rather a discoloration of the dentin, the inner layer passed your enamel. This type of discoloration can be the result of an injury, genetics, taking certain medications, or aging.

For eliminating deep stains, Dr. Joe can recommend veneers as an excellent option to rejuvenate your smile’s luster.

Porcelain Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, resilient shells of porcelain bonded to the surfaces of the most visible teeth in your smile. With veneers, moderate tooth preparation is required to provide a smooth, clean surface for application and to avoid an unnatural-looking result.

Once our dentist has determined veneers are right for you, we’ll take impressions of your specific smile and send them off to our trusted lab to create your beautiful, fully-customized veneers.

How Can I be Sure My Veneers Will Look Natural?

Veneers are crafted from life-like porcelain materials which are world-famous for their ability to mimic the natural shape, shade, appeal, and feel of teeth. Once strategically placed by Dr. Joe, your veneers become indistinguishable from the rest of your smile.

What Issues Can Veneers Help Address?

Porcelain veneers are often used to help correct the following issues:

  • Misshaped teeth
  • Severe discoloration
  • Surface chips and cracks
  • Worn or weak teeth
  • Noticeable, unwanted gaps between teeth
  • Small-looking or short teeth
  • Mild dental misalignment

Can Veneers Fix My Crooked Teeth?

While veneers are a great way to help smiles appear straighter and more symmetrical, they’re not recommended for those with orthodontic issues that involve an uneven jaw, bite, and moderately to severely crooked teeth.

For those looking to correct orthodontic issues without the noticeability of traditional metal braces, our Escondido team offers ClearCorrect.

ClearCorrect Aligners

ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system we use to straighten teeth as an alternative to conventional, metal braces. Similar to Invisalign®, they can gradually and gently align teeth using a series of clear and custom, removable aligners.

How Does ClearCorrect Work?

ClearCorrect includes four phases of aligner treatment with each phase requiring a new set of aligners provided by our dentist.

Aligners must be worn all the time, except during eating, drinking, or when practicing at-home oral hygiene such as brushing and flossing. Designed with your desired aesthetics in mind, your aligners are practically invisible and won’t have an impact on your daily routine or self-confidence.

Periodic check-ups with our dentist are essential, so he can evaluate and monitor your progress and give you your next set of aligners. This will continue until you have achieved the level of straightening you desire for your smile.

What Can I Expect During My Clear Correct Treatment?

While wearing clear aligners is, for the most part, comfortable, there will be brief days when your new aligners cause minor discomfort as your smile shifts towards a straighter result.

Below are a few more things you can typically expect from your ClearCorrect treatment.

  • You must wear your aligners for up to 22 hours a day
  • Your teeth and bite may feel a little off or different from time to time while your smile is straightening
  • You may have a lisp at first as you get used to talking with the aligners
  • You may have engagers, or small bumps on the aligner, assisting the movement of your teeth
  • You won’t have to worry about dietary restrictions, interrupted cleanings, or everyday life while undergoing ClearCorrect

What If My Teeth Need Repairing or Are Missing?

For centuries, complications such as dental decay, damage, or missing teeth were much harder to fix and conceal since restorative treatments were typically made of more noticeable materials like metal, silver, and gold. These often didn’t look nor feel natural in the smile.

With our modern and metal-free dental practice, you can have chips mended, cracks filled, and lost teeth replaced completely with aesthetic treatments that also work to the restore health back to your smile!

White, Composite Fillings

Made of enamel-colored, composite resin, white fillings are shade-matched to your natural teeth, providing seamless blending.

We use composite fillings to provide discreet and lasting protection while repairing minor surface damage, building back smaller areas of enamel impacted by decay, and filling in minor cavities once the affected areas have been removed.

Porcelain Crowns

These porcelain, tooth prosthetics are used for completely encasing a severely weekend, damaged, or discolored tooth, making crowns a versatile option for both cosmetic enhancements and reliable protection. Each crown we provide is made to mimic the look, feel, and function of your natural teeth.

Fixed Bridges

One to several missing teeth can be replaced effectively thanks to porcelain, fixed bridges. Up to three prosthetic, or pontic teeth, are supported by using remaining teeth on each side of the gap covered by fitted crowns to hold your bridge in place.

Dental Implants

Implants are the most permanent tooth replacement option available. With success rates of over 95% in healthy patients, dental implants are often considered the gold standard for addressing missing teeth by both dental and medical professionals.

These implant posts consist of titanium that is accepted by the body, allowing them to fuse naturally with living bone and tissue. This fusing process, called osseointegration, provides a secure and lifelong foundation for your chosen crown, bridge, or denture restoration to be affixed. This means that one or all missing teeth can be replaced, from root to crown.
